BREWED & DISTILLED: THE LOCAL POUR

Meet the brewer. Meet the distiller. Meet your new favourite drink.

SATURDAY 23rd MAY 2-5PM

This Carnivale, Hemingway's Brewery is hosting an afternoon for beer lovers, spirits enthusiasts, and anyone who likes a good story with their pour.

Brewed & Distilled: The Local Pour brings together Hemingway's Head Brewer Lee Drummond and Devils Thumb Head Distiller Gabriele Pegoraro for three hours of tastings, stories, and proper local craft knowledge.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

2pm – 5pm: The Makers' Bar
Lee and Gabriele will be stationed at our pop-up tasting bar all afternoon. Order a paddle, ask the questions, or just pull up a chair and have a yarn. This is your chance to meet the makers and discover what goes into every beer and spirit we pour.

3pm: Devils Thumb Spirits Tasting with Gabriele Pegoraro
Grab a tasting paddle, your choice of gin or rum, and settle in for a 30-minute guided session with Devils Thumb's Head Distiller. Gabriele will walk you through the botanicals, the process, and the stories behind every bottle.

4pm: Hemingway's Beer Tasting with Lee Drummond
Order a beer paddle and let Hemingway's Head Brewer Lee Drummond take you through the Core Range and seasonal releases. Expect brewing insights, beer stories rooted in Far North Queensland, and a relaxed 20-minute session.

After the guided sessions, both Lee and Gabriele will remain on hand for questions, conversation, or just good company. Whether you're a seasoned craft drinker or simply curious, this is your chance to go behind the scenes.

Plus: Spot prizes throughout the afternoon, including Hemingway's merch, mini bottles of Devils Thumb spirits, and beer to take home.
