Tunnel 10

AIBA bronze medal winning lager
Brewer Notes

A light bodied, refreshing, clean lager with a subtle grassy, spicy hop note and crisp finish.

Beer Story

In 1910, during the construction of the Cairns-Kuranda railway, a landslide downed Tunnel 10 and the supply of ale. With brains, brawn, and beer as motivation, workers perilously rolled barrels of brew around a mountain to ensure cheer was served – cheers to that.

Visiting Far North Queensland, you soon discover why many come for a getaway, and a good many never go home. It’s a feeling that can’t be explained on the back of a beer, and yet we’ve somehow managed to capture it in one. But don’t take our word for it, take a sip and feel it for yourself.

Mr Wong

Brewer Notes

A traditionally styled Hefeweizen with prominent clove and banana aroma, medium body, low bitterness and tart, spritzy character from increased carbonation provides for a refreshing finish.

Beer Story

He came to Australia looking to dig up gold, but instead ended up growing it. Thanks to Mr. Wong and his Chinese compatriots, the banana industry in FNQ flourished, ensuring a prosperous future for many of the towns in these parts – give that man a beer that has a lingering banana aroma.

Stonefruit, tropical fruits, juicy in aroma and flavour balanced with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel thanks to a generous addition of oats. The round bitterness is supported by a low malt backbone and a lasting sweetness.

Beer Story

Ellinjaa, Zillie, and Milla Milla falls make up a golden triangle on the waterfalls circuit on the tablelands. These three falls boast stunning beauty and are well worth the short trip up with friends to cool off in the FNQ heat. Here’s cheers to our tropical trio of tranquillity.

Coral Cay

Brewer Notes

Golden in colour presenting with piney and fruity aromas. Clean, malt supporting a citrussy and resinous hop flavour bridging into a true West Coast style bitterness.

Beer Story

The historic lighthouse on Low Isles, built in 1878, stands tall on the idyllic setting that captain James Cook noted as being a “low small island” more than a hundred years before. The beauty of this coral formed island and the surrounding waters makes this a Port Douglas locals favourite and leaves a bold and lasting impression like this West Coast IPA.

Session Lager
Brewer Notes

Clean, citrus flavours on the palate with light tropical, passionfruit and watermelon aromas. Showcasing great Australian hops with a low bitterness and a crisp, refreshing finish.

Beer Story

Post WW2 an influx of immigrants found work on sugarcane farms. In the sweltering sun the cane cutters worked the fields of sugar cane under brutal conditions. Wielding their cane knife they set a rhythm without complaint. The more they cut, the more dollars they earned.  Stopping only for a quick slug of water they pressed on, strengthening an industry which Far North Queensland was built on. Here’s cheers to the unnamed canecutters of our region.
