We're bringing a little Bavaria to the tropics for two days of German-style beers, Bavarian-inspired food, traditional entertainment and Oktoberfest games at Hemingway's Brewery Port Douglas.

Join us on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October for Troptoberfest 2026, where the steins are full, the atmosphere is relaxed and the good times roll by the waterfront.

What's Oktoberfest without a proper German-style beer?

This year, we're keeping things Munich-inspired with two Hemingway's favourites taking centre stage: Our "Weiss Guy" Hefeweizen and “Festbier” Lager.

Both will be dressed for the occasion with special Oktoberfest branding and served in our 500mL steins.

WEISS GUY

A traditional German-style wheat beer with classic banana and clove aromas, a refreshing spritzy finish and low bitterness.

FESTBIER LAGER

Our German-style Festbier, ready for the Oktoberfest celebrations.

Plus the full range of Hemingway's beers and traditional Bavarian schnapps & liqueurs.

Our chefs are putting together a special Troptoberfest food offering inspired by the hearty flavours of Bavaria.

Think juicy German-style sausages, warm soft pretzels, crispy pork belly and a few traditional sweet treats to finish.

It's the kind of food made for sharing with mates, enjoying alongside your favourite Hemingway's beer and settling in for a long afternoon by the water.
