HEMINGWAY'S REWARDS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms & Conditions of Use

By participating in the Hemingway’s Rewards Program ("Program"), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which govern your membership and use of the Program across all participating venues.

1. Program Overview

The Hemingway’s Rewards Program is a customer loyalty program operated by Hemingway’s Brewery FNQ Pty Ltd ("Hemingway’s", "we", "us", "our") and is available at the following venues:

  • Hemingway’s Brewery Cairns Wharf
  • Hemingway’s Brewery Port Douglas
  • Hemingway’s Brewery Trinity Beach
  • Sails Bar & Restaurant Cairns

The Program allows members to earn points on eligible purchases and redeem those points for rewards, subject to these Terms.

2. Joining the Program

  • To join, enter your mobile number at the payment terminal during a transaction at any participating venue.
  • By joining Hemingway’s Rewards, you agree to receive occasional promotional messages. You can opt out at any time.
  • You will receive an SMS to confirm your membership. By replying with your email, you’ll receive a one-time bonus of 30 points.
  • Only individuals residing in or visiting Australia are eligible to join.
  • No physical card or app is required to participate. Your membership is linked to your mobile number and/or payment method.

3. Earning Points

  • Members earn at least 1 point per $1 AUD spent on eligible purchases.
  • Hemingway’s reserves the right to change the points earning rate at any time.
  • Points may not be earned on gift card purchases, discounts, or other excluded items as determined by Hemingway’s.
  • Bonus point offers (e.g. triple points during promotions) may apply at Hemingway’s discretion and for a limited time.

4. Redeeming Rewards

  • 100 points = 10% off your next eligible transaction.
  • Redemption must be applied in a single transaction and cannot be split across multiple purchases.
  • Rewards cannot be stacked or combined — only one redemption can be used per transaction.
  • Redemption is available at all participating Hemingway’s venues, including Sails Bar & Restaurant.
  • You must notify staff or redeem rewards during the transaction; rewards cannot be applied retroactively.

5. Expiry of Points

  • Points will expire 6 months after the date they were earned, unless redeemed earlier.
  • Hemingway’s reserves the right to modify the expiry period with reasonable notice.

6. Membership Conditions

  • Members may only hold one account.
  • Hemingway’s may, at its sole discretion, suspend or cancel membership if it suspects misuse, fraudulent activity, or a breach of these Terms.
  • Points and rewards have no cash value and are not exchangeable or refundable.

7. Program Changes

Hemingway’s reserves the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or terminate the Rewards Program at any time.
  • Adjust the points earning or redemption rates.
  • Introduce or remove participating venues.

Any significant changes will be communicated via our website or at point of sale. Continued participation in the Program after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Privacy & Communications

By joining the Hemingway’s Rewards Program and providing your mobile number and/or email address, you consent to receive communications from us relating to:

  • Your points balance and reward activity
  • Program updates and offers
  • Promotions, events, and marketing content from Hemingway’s and its participating venues

You can opt out of promotional messages at any time by following the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions in the message, or by contacting us directly at info@hemingwaysbrewery.com.

All personal information is collected, stored, and used in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and our Privacy Policy, which outlines how you can access or correct your information, or make a complaint.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and are subject to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the ACL.
