Lager
Brewer Notes

IPL [Indian Pale Lager] or hoppy lager style. Light golden colour, soft pleasant mouthfeel thanks to the soft water in Cairns and the use of caramel malt, citrus driven hop character, balanced with a well rounded, refreshing bitterness.

Beer Story

As close friends and neighbours, Kiwis and Aussies have long debated the correct term for things: Is it an esky or chilli bin? Thongs or jandals? And let's not even go there on the whole Pavlova fiasco... But it's good to know that with borders closed we can still connect social distance style and brew a cracking beer like this hoppy lager you hold in your hand. Here's cheers to mates across the ditch!

Canecutter Lager

Brewer Notes

Clean, citrus flavours on the palate with light tropical, passionfruit and watermelon aromas. Showcasing great Australian hops with a low bitterness and a crisp, refreshing finish.

Beer Story

Post WW2 an influx of immigrants found work on sugarcane farms. In the sweltering sun the cane cutters worked the fields of sugar cane under brutal conditions. Wielding their cane knife they set a rhythm without complaint. The more they cut, the more dollars they earned.  Stopping only for a quick slug of water they pressed on, strengthening an industry which Far North Queensland was built on. Here’s cheers to the unnamed canecutters of our region.
